My friends know that I am not very efficient with my cell phone…
They wouldn’t be a bit surprised to hear I missed a call yesterday afternoon and didn’t even notice it until the evening. It had a Kentucky area code so I phoned home and asked Steve to check my messages there. My seriously tech-savvy husband took a while to work out how to retrieve the messages and we worked our way through a few interesting offers before coming to the one that mattered.
Yes! Very good news. The Long Winter received First Place in the Modern Quilt category at AQS Quilt Week in Grand Rapids.
I won’t be able to visit it in Michigan but, as you can imagine, I am excited it’s doing just fine without me!! AQS give wonderful prize money so I have already done a little shopping.
I’m still in Oregon. We drove up the coast yesterday and stayed in Astoria last night. We can hear the sea lions from our room. I promise pictures will follow…

It’s at the Quilt Show in the DeVos Place Convention Center until Saturday and then it will be coming home to me!
