A package arrived on Wednesday. I knew what it contained because I had received an e-mail notification but it was still exciting to open the wrapper and peak inside!
It’s time for the summer edition of modern patchwork magazine and look what is on page 47…Just in case you couldn’t read the caption here it is a bit bigger!
And here’s the little quilt itself. It’s about 22″ square. Eight flying geese and nine snowballs!
To finish it, I did the grid stitching first and then added the free motion quilting from the reverse side following the pattern on the backing fabric.
As always, the magazine is full of interesting articles and lovely patterns. You can find it wherever you usually buy your quilting magazines or you can go to the Interweave store (the link at the top of the page will get you there) and order it. (It’s 15% off today!) There’s a digital version if you can’t wait…
After all the rain on Wednesday and the grey day we had yesterday I’m hoping the sky will be the same happy shade of blue today. I’ve got a binding to finish this morning and then I’d better tidy up before the weekend?
Very nice! Love the pattern!
I love the loopy quilting in the blue section!
Thanks Steff!!
