Thanks to Julia I have a whole set of little wool appliqué patterns…
They are full size traceable designs with suggestions for embellishment, all ready for use with the wool kits I assembled last week. They are packaged in envelopes so they look like a greeting card. I’ll have them for sale in my classes, starting on Friday.
Yes, Quilt!Knit Stitch! starts in just three days… It looks like I will be making use of my full luggage allowance on Southwest Airlines, including my carry on and computer bag. I hope it’s not too far from the luggage carousel to the taxi stand…
My Bernina 820 went for a cleaning last week and I needed to check it out yesterday so I fitted a little sewing time into my packing schedule. I stitched a little pink quilt with pieces from my scrap bag.
I used a wool batting and it’s very light and fluffy. I’m not exactly sure it was the best choice for a little wall quilt. The scraps weren’t square and I’m OK with that but I squared it up in a bit of a hurry and put the green strips on. When I added the binding this morning I realized it’s not very square… Oh well, I enjoyed making it and my machine is working very well.
So tomorrow I need to decide what clothes to take and make sure I have my toothbrush packed. Ready or not, Portland here I come!
Saw you today at Quilt, Knit, Stitch. Love your work look forward to trying one of your patters!
Thanks Sydney. I had a great day.
