We had decided I needed a new laptop last December and it seemed like it would make a suitable birthday present?
Well, Steve and I never got around to going shopping and then I got busy… but then I saw an advert for a new rose gold MacBook. A pink laptop! Now that was something worth going to the Apple Store for!
We did a little on-line research before venturing down town and it took less than 15 minutes for the transaction in its entirety. It took a bit longer than that to transfer everything from the vintage machine but by Sunday afternoon it was all done.
Now all I needed was a new cover.
I brought this lovely bundle of solids from Birch Fabrics home from QuiltCon in February.Just what I needed.
After taking a few measurements for guidance I set to stitching and soon had this little improv piece put together.
Layering, quilting and binding didn’t take too long either. I added a few fly stitches to the front flap for fun and then sewed up the sides.
Ta-da! Just the right size.Too cute?Looks OK from the back too!Ready for travel.
The new MacBook is lighter than my old iPad. I’m getting used to the different feel of the keyboard.
And it’s PINK!!!
Love your new computer cover. I’m a Mac person too. I had not seen one in the new color. Love it! Enjoy!
I have the same one… I love it so much & my new phone is pink too…. Fabulous cover.. Maybe I can make one at Debenham in August….
While I love the improve piecing, the hand stitching really makes the piece!
Just love your pink laptop . . . and of course you have made a fabulous cover. Not likely to get lost!
Beautiful! Love the ink laptop and your cover! Yours will stand out!
