And on to Norway (in stitches)

I’m not very optimistic about the chance of a trip to Japan in the near future but Norway is a little closer…

I stitched this little piece based on traditional Norwegian Folk Art this week.IMG_6643

Mostly bright 8 weight perle cotton with just a couple of variegated threads.

My favorite sewing spot is this corner of the sofa in the family room.IMG_6657

I need to check for needles before I sit down… I’ve spent a lot of time on the couch in the past few days.

There isn’t a lot of natural light at any time of day in that room so I’m very happy to have a Stella Sky light next to my chair. It really is my favorite lamp!

…which is why I’m delighted to remind you that the folks over at Stella are running an amazing promotional giveaway right now.

This is what they asked me to tell you,

“The winner of this sweepstakes will receive a $1000 airfare voucher to fly you and a friend to Houston, TX for the International Quilt Festival 2016, November 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.  It is the largest gathering of quilter, knitters, designers and creative individuals in the United States.  Stay for four (4) nights at the Hampton Inn by Hilton located in downtown Houston, within walking distance of the George R. Brown Convention Center. Also included is a $250 Visa gift card so you can explore downtown Houston’s amazing restaurants and nightlife. You and a friend will also be one of the first to receive the new Stella Two>> LED task lamp, so you can continue your creative adventure when you return home.”
Fly Away LogoSounds good?

All you have to do is go to the sweepstakes page and enter your details for a chance to win! And if you put my name in the referral box then I get a chance to win a complete collection of lights too… and you know I couldn’t keep them all to myself?

More embroideries to follow.
