I arrived safely in Ann Arbor this afternoon, complete with luggage and everything!
When I checked my e-mail, amongst all the advertising stuff there were two messages from guilds in Wisconsin enquiring about my availability, and one from Lynn with a picture of her finished quilt from our June class with the Coastal Quilters Guild of Santa Barbara and Goleta.
Last time we saw Lynn she was in the corner stitching…At lunchtime she had this to show, and by the end of class, here’s what was on her design wall.I always challenge everyone to go home and finish their piece…
Well Lynn did!A balanced composition using all the techniques we covered in class, walking foot quilting showcasing combined stitches and three spirals, and a narrow teal border inside a mustard yellow binding.
I love it!
Thanks for sharing Lynn.
BTW, thanks for all the comments you’ve been posting this week. Do feel free to comment on each other’s thoughts. Let’s keep the quiltie conversation going 🙂
Looks great! Wasn’t quite expecting the finish. How fun is that!
Great job on your quilt, Lynn! Thanks for sharing this, Catherine!
what a creative quilt this is
