James delivered Julia, Sarah, Joanne and me to the airport in plenty of time for our 6.00 AM flight to Nashville on Friday morning.
It’s a short hop. There was hardly time to swallow our drinks and munch our peanuts before we landed, retrieved our bags and ventured outside to find Jonathan and Lauren awaiting our arrival.
Lauren had to go to work but Jonathan nobly took us out for breakfast and later on to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, where we had too much fun on the boat ride… We are on the boat in today’s featured image. I think my selfie technique shows progress?
The main purpose of the trip was attending Lauren’s baby shower, hosted by her sister and a friend on Saturday. We decided to take pictures while we were all dressed up.
Lauren and Joanne, the two blondes.
The four sisters… Sarah, Julia, Lauren and Joanne.Jonathan came outside so we could have one of me and my girls. And of course I had to return the favor and get one of Jonathan and Lauren. The shower was fun. It is going to be one very well dressed baby!
But all too soon it was time to return home. We took the 7.45 PM flight out of Nashville for Midway where James and Steve were waiting.
No time to sit around on Sunday. I arrived in Cedar Rapids at 7.00 this evening. Tomorrow I’ll be spending the day with the East Iowa Heirloom Quilters. With two lectures and a workshop planned it’s going to be a busy day.
