One thing I’m realizing… it’s hard to remember to take pictures when you are too busy having fun.
So, a brief summary of day two…
We started our Beginning Wool Appliqué class promptly at 9 am this morning. Everyone stitched away on their little projects with just a brief “cheese” moment for me. Here’s the one side of the class room that was almost in focus,
and here’s one square that I managed to get a photo of before everything got put away.
You’ll just have to imagine the rest!
This afternoon I was back in Open Studios with my wool appliqué pieces. I met some interesting ladies (and a few men) and the two hours passed swiftly by, demoing my whip stitch technique and fancy embroidery stitches.
We finished up the day at Scrappy Hour, a time of new friends, great food, wonderful door prizes and lots of fabric scraps. Here are the scraps…
I don’t know who donated their scrap bag but someone had certainly collected an interesting collection of junk… we’ll see what becomes of them. I have an idea and I really hope it works out. I will find room in my suitcase to take them all home!!
