It’s Ruby’s birthday tomorrow. She’ll be four and that’s definitely worth celebrating!
I thought I ought to sew something, so I did.
I bought some tea towels from IKEA , looked at an old apron that had belonged to Jonathan ( a very old apron) and whipped up something cute enough for even the most girly of little girls?
It’s when I decide to make something quick that I’m glad of all the stuff I have in my sewing room. I had the white ties left from some Rowan fat quarter packs I’d bought once upon a time. I knew they were worth keeping.
Julia organized a fun party today with lots of food, games and crafts for the smalls, and cake…
She doesn’t often have ice cream and Ruby just couldn’t resist while we were waiting for the cake to make its entrance!
Too funny!
The cake did finally make an appearance and Ruby was suitably impressed.
After a tuneful chorus of Happy Birthday she blew all the candles out in one go. Go Ruby!
And the apron?
I think it was a success.
Happy Birthday Ruby! Four is an excellent age.
Adorable! The child of course, and the apron!
Oh how wonderful! Happy Birthday to her! Love the apron- very cute- just like the sweet little thing it was gifted to.
Ruby is adorable!
