Rosemont continued…

As if painting all day wasn’t enough for me, after a brief visit back to the showroom floor, I attended the Friday Night Sampler and enjoyed watching silk noile being dyed and silk roving felted, amongst other things. I have some ideas…

Then I went off to find Stephanie and Cheryl who had been at an Quiltart reception. They were upstairs with Melanie Testa (author of soon to be published Inspired to Quilt from Interweave press). Bonnie Lyn McCaffrey was on the escalator behind me and quickly joined the party. We decided to have dinner where  we learnt about the joys of our 40’s, book publishing and vidcasts… The food was good too.

Cheryl and Melanie modeled their tiaras,

Stephanie didn’t have one, but neither did Bonnie and I,

We look like we were having fun, and we did! It was a late night for me…

Two wedding showers later I had time to look at my purchases.

I was very restrained. A tool kit for embossed metal work and some metal squares, some silk embellishments, three big washers, silk sari ribbon and yarn, dyed cheesecloth and perle cotton from ArtFabrik, a honeycomb set in resin (I have an idea) and a Star Builder rubbing set from Laura Murray. Won’t I be busy?
