Staying home is over rated, even if the snow keeps on coming down…
On Saturday I went to the Salt Creek Quilters Guild Quilt Show. After a long walk through the park, avoiding the snow covered frozen ponds… I enjoyed catching up with friends and seeing the varied quilts (and vendors).
I found one familiar design on display.
Lois had done a super job of highlighting her embroidered AFLE teapot. It’s always good to know that people have finished their projects!
On Monday I ventured a few more miles to La Grange to visit the Centennial Quilters for a wool appliqué class. By the time I remembered to get my camera out there were only these five lovely ladies left…
but they smiled on request! We had a super time learning the basics of whip stitch and adding some fun embellishment stitches.
So now I’m home again for a few days. Here are some more sneak peeks…
Foundation paper piecing,
and more English paper pieced clamshells with big stitch quilting.
Back to work!
