It was Wednesday… It had to be Roatan, an island just off the coast of Honduras.
We had booked a shore excursion promising highlights and great views.
Some local color met us at the dock…
before we were taken to board our air-conditioned school bus to start our adventure.
After driving through the town, we went up to Panorama Hill where we could take a picture of the ship in port.
Next up was Pirates Bay.
The water looked very inviting!
It was warm!
Yellow Coconuts
Back in the bus to Cyndi’s Paradise Point, a private home at the highest point of the island.
Beautiful Hibiscus,
a fan shaped palm, the Ravenala, apparently not a true palm, intriguing against the blue sky.
Then a trip back down to the water front at Parrot Tree Plantation.
Ocean kept at bay, the other side of the wall.
Time to get back on to the bus for the drive back to town.
Here’s a couple of pictures taken through the bus window…
A few minutes in port for a little shopping…
and a view from on board the ship.
We had time for an exploration of some of the higher decks before dinner. We spied this line of hard working stitchers…
Did you recognize that bright blue panel they were sewing on?!!
The sun was setting as we left port.
Jungle adventures in Belize tomorrow!
Sew pretty!!
