I really did need to just make something yesterday so I set to work and made a little quilt for some of my pin collection. It is 11″ by 16″ish and hold 24 pins…
That’s may be one quarter of my collection but they are heavy so you can’t put too many on one quilt without it getting even more seriously bent out of shape!
I have been collecting pins since I started quilting. Some of these date back to Sheila and my epic road trip to McPherson, Kansas back in 2000. Three nights, 1500 miles and more than 20 quilt stores… And then we went to Grand Forks, North Dakota the next year. Four nights, 1800 miles, 25 shops… I’m ready for another trip. I wonder if Sheila is?
I notice that California seems quite well represented too. I just included shops and guilds I have visited this time. I have lots of show pins for the next one.
Not the most well made piece but it’s bound and done!
And then, as if by magic, I got a call from John from Awards and Fine Gifts to say our naperville quilts! pins were in.
Just nine days to go before our first ever Riverwalk Quilters Quilt Show! I will be vending for African Folklore Embroidery . The excitement mounts.
The Pin looks great!!
