Close to home with Riverwalk Quilters Guild in Naperville

There was ice and snow at the beginning of the week but, after consulting with the church where we hold our gatherings, the meeting went ahead!

There was not a large turnout but they were a friendly group. There was a good showing from the Sew and Tell bee, on the front row looking left from my point of view…

We had fun with our Trip Around the World. It doesn’t matter how many are in the audience I always behave as though the room is packed 🙂

The order of events was moved around somewhat in honor of the weather so Show and Tell came at the end of our time together.

Quality if not quantity!

Kathy had her two entries for the Naperville Modern Quilters Guild star challenge to show. I loved them both… organic curves, a little hand stitched embellishment. Very nice.

Amy’s sweet baby quilt is going to make some little girl very happy.I think this is Sandy’s quilt, blue for a boy?Yvette is either very optimistic or has a good sense of humor! She’s been busy stash busting again. The back was also worth seeing.Carol is thinking ahead … She decided these two Christmas stockings weren’t very suitable for their intended recipients,so she’s been making some new ones… sparkly threads, free motion quilting, bobbin work…And she’s been making bags from some fabric pieces she got in Japan.Busy people! This weather is great for getting things done?

I’ve been pushing through with my packing for Stitches West! Just one more class to prepare the kits for… My flight isn’t until the evening on Tuesday so that gives me an extra day. I can do it?

I’ve also been stitching. Perhaps there will be pictures before I fly 🙂
