Back on the Road to (almost) St. Louis!

It’s been not quite nine years since I last visited the Hearts’n’Hands Quilt Guild in O’Fallon, Illinois. (You can read about that visit here). And only a month since I was last in the area! The car found its way there without any problems

There were some familiar faces amongst the members. It took three views to get them all immortalized on camera.

Looking left,

center,

and to the right…

What a fun bunch to share my Trip Around the World lecture with.

Things change in nine years. There was no Tim Hortons to buy donuts from before class… which meant we were in a low carb zone as we stitched on our Pretty in Paisley projects.

We had one newbie embroiderer and several who knew exactly what they were about!

Lisa Kay sent me a picture of her finished project.

Lisa Kay is in the experienced group… She tried all the different wraps and lots of extra stitches. Very nice.

It was just a quick visit and I was soon back home again after two night away and 560 miles on the clock.

Life continues at home. I had some secret stitching to do over the weekend. That got mailed off yesterday morning and I set to work on getting ready for my next trip.

Here’s a whole stack of “mini postcard quilts”, all ready for my Hand Beading on Fabric for Quilts and Fashion class at the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo in Dallas (Irving) at the end of the month.

My machine classes are showing full registration, but there are still a few spots open if you would like to like to sit and bead with us on the Thursday afternoon. Details are on the class registration page.

Tonight I am zooming with the Arizona Quilters Guild. I’m teaching a wool appliqué class for them next month. I’ll be mailing out individual class kits very soon. There is space for you if you want to join in. Just head over to their web page to sign up and then email me for the kit. You know what they say… Everyone gets a front row seat on Zoom!!
