I’m very aware that my non-traveling time is running out. Back in November I decided that I really needed to use the time between coming home from the Caribbean and heading out to California for stitching…
Steve has been away the past few days and I have been even worse than usual about picking up the kitchen and some other niceties of life…
I holed myself up in my studio today. The sun was on its way down when I came downstairs this evening.
Yes, there is snow on the ground and according to my computer it is cold outside…
I have been thinking of summer as I have been sewing a new quilt. It’s all pieced and I’ve started the quilting. I’ve been planning this quilt for a while. I watched a new building go up and knew I wanted to use it as my inspiration…
The focus fabric is called Sand Dollars. It’s from the Low Tide collection by Jane Dixon for Andover Fabrics. I chose solids to co-ordinate and I’ll soon have a finished quilt to show.
At least that’s the idea.
Now to pick up before Steve gets home!
Like the fabric in your new quilt. Am going to try to do some quilting like that. Looking forward to seeing you here in warm so. cal.
I’m looking forward to seeing you too. Just eleven days…
So lovely.
I like the beginnings of your Low Tide quilt. What pattern are you using? What complementary fabrics did you choose? I am a newer quilter.
Mary, I’m glad you liked the quilt! I ended up submitting it to a magazine so all will be revealed soon… Sorry to keep you waiting for an answer.
Thank you. Just please let us know when and what magazine….hope it gets chosen!
