Signs of Summer?

It might be very cold outside… but I’ve been inside working on my final sample for this quarter’s classes at Pieceful Heart Fabrics.

Here it is, Sweet Summer by Bunny Hill Designs, with a few modifications and a little embellishment… It’s a whip stitched wool appliqué piece with perle cotton embroidery.

DSC02474 And even closer…

DSC02475I drove to the store this afternoon and I delivered the supply lists so I’m done for now…

I can get back to those hexagons, or put a hanging sleeve on my little quilt, or make some more log cabin blocks… or may be I should start my homework for Sue Spargo‘s visit to Riverwalk Quilters in February? At least it is still quite tidy downstairs so I can get straight to work once I have decided where to begin.

Meanwhile the grandchildren (and their parents) were here at the weekend.

Ruby looked delightful in her ladybug bib. I knew it would come in handy one day!

DSC02461 We can’t leave out the big brother so I’ll add a picture of Benjamin. He needed the help of his father to stand still.

DSC02471Time flies. Before we know it it really will be summer!
