I’ve been a member of Riverwalk Quilters Guild since 1999. That means I’ve been to a fair few Holiday Parties!
We have them in January after all the other festivities are over and always include food (of course), games, show and tell and a rummage sale.
The Pot Luck was excellent, I’ll pass over the games…
Here are some of the ladies and their Show and Tell which was Christmas/winter themed.
Nancy brought a table runner,
Another Nancy had helped in the making of this quilt which to be a present for a new baby… I think it will last a while.
Here’s a Christmas tree wall hanging with a sparkly border,
Darlene, resplendent in her watermelon top (I didn’t mention that ugly sweaters were optional!), showed us this Christmas quilt.
Amy had a Nativity quilt she had won in a raffle back in 2000.
We finished the show and tell with the revealing of our twentieth anniversary quilt .
Every leaf is signed by a guild member and the blue birds are signed by the past presidents.
It was time for the rummaging to start…
So much to dig through. All the money goes back into guild programs. Joan had found all kinds of treasure!
And of course no party just organizes itself. Heidi and Loraine were the brains of the evening.
Nice outfits ladies…
PAQA this morning. What a contrast!
Always a good time at our Guild!
If you’re there Sandy, you know it’ll be fun!
An after-Christmas party. Now, that sounds like fun!
Definitely a fun loving group of ladies!
