Return to Brownsburg!

I’m back home after our trip to Indiana.

Scrapbasket Quilt Guild in Brownsburg is still going strong. There was a great turnout for the guild meeting on Tuesday evening.

We started with business and then there was show and tell. I tried taking pictures from my seat on the front row but the angle was not good!

I moved to a seat in the middle but then there people in the way !! I tried.

The quilters seem to like making big quilts. The binding was very nearly finished on this lovely blue and white one…

This one made me think of fall, still a few months away?

This lady had two pieces of rug hooking to share. Lots of wool!

And this one was huge! Definitely king bed sized?

The chicken quilts that are today’s featured image were lots of fun. Variations on a theme always make me smile.

I remembered to take pictures before I started my lecture.

Looking to my left,

and then to my  right.

The members giggled appropriately in all the right places during my Lessons Learned lecture!!

I like to say I am an English Paper Piecer and that’s who I was booked to be on Wednesday. A small but select group of stitchers got  together to find out how I do it…

I might have spotted a glue stick or two in action during the class but the Invisafil thread was a hit. Who knew you could tie it to your needle so it doesn’t slide off? One of my favorite tips.

Handwork makes for a great social time and we kept busy for almost a whole six hours with just a short lunch break  in the middle of the day.

Thanks Scrapbasket Quilters for making me so welcome … hoping I will see you again before too long!

In other news. I am very sorry to have to tell you that the Alaskan Cruise in June next year is no longer. Quilt Seminars at Sea has decided to retire its Cruise offerings after January next year. I am very disappointed. That of course means I am looking for an alternative adventure…

Ever onwards.
