Last weekend was party time at PHF. It was the official 10th anniversary of the shop opening and to celebrate the occasion there were discounts, cup cakes, sugar cookies and wonderful party favors!
But the highlight was Gina in a party hat…
In action behind the register, no less!
And in case Nancy felt left, out she got a chance to wear the hat too…
Altogether too much fun.
I was at the store on Saturday for my Arboretum Dreaming class. I had made a pattern for a scaled down tree as an option for the students to use. It was good to see different interpretations in progress.
This is my demo model in blues…
And here is a very different version of the same “beech tree”.
It took longer than I thought it would to construct the basic tree so there weren’t a lot of fibers couched down before the end of class. I hope I will get to see the finished articles soon.
