One more adventure in Indiana

We left me headed south.

Three years ago I visited the quilters of Greenwood, Indiana and I had a grand time! I have kept in touch with my hostess, Susie. We have even manage to see each other briefly at a couple of quilt shows. Well, a few days before I was due to drive to Indianapolis I had a message in my in-box from Susie. She had noticed I was on my way (thank you Facebook!) and wanted to know my plans…

It didn’t take more than a hint of an invite for me to decide I would head down to Greenwood after I was done on Saturday to spend the night with Agnes, enjoy dinner out and visit Crimson Tate on Sunday morning.

We had a plan! Dinner at the Taxman Brewing Company was as good as it gets. The beer and food was excellent and the company even better as we caught up with all our adventures over the past few years.

The sun was shining when we drove back to Mass Ave, in Indianapolis on Sunday morning.img_9858Heather doesn’t work at the shop on Sundays but David did a good job of helping us spend our money. We had our picture taken with Heather’s picture on the way out!img_9859What did I buy?

It seemed appropriate to buy a little kit of Heather’s Paper Obsessed fabrics to make a mini quilt. And then I needed a piece of the grey Time to Write yardage… and then it made sense to finish out the bolt of Lizzy House fabric for a 30% discount? I’m always looking for neutral backings!!img_9874Susie and Agnes managed to find something they needed too!

Now it really was time to bid Indianapolis farewell and drive home. North on 65, West on 80, North on 355… just stay wake and keep going!

Ever onward…

I am just soooo jealous – Crimson Tate is one of my favorite shops and love her fabric. Who could not love Heather -she is a lovely modern quilter! I tried to get into to see you at the Indianapolis Guild – no luck! Hopefully one of these days our paths will cross-not giving up! I love keeping up with you through your blog – your projects are just beautiful!
