Following on from yesterday’s post I finished a new little quilt last night.
I stitched irregular vertical straight lines in my favorite Aurifil 50 wt cotton in color 4060, with some extra diagonals to add a little movement. It’s a grey tone on tone thread and I love the texture it adds to the piece.
I also added a signature spiral in 12 wt cotton in color 2615. Using a 57D foot on my BERNINA 820 makes it much easier to see where I’m going…
and used the same thread to add a little bold hand embellishment.
The 3/4″ hexagons were made from a mini charm pack of Primitive Gatherings’ Lakeside Gatherings collection from Moda and I used Robert Kaufman’s Essex Linen for the background.
I’m off to Sewtopia next week and it’s going to be my Smalls Swap offering. I hope whoever gets it likes it…
(BTW If you’ve stopped in looking for the Hexie Love blog hop and give away check yesterday’s post!)

Loved the stitching. I love circles, but don’t do well.
Love the quilting, it really complements the design.
