First up on my first ever blog hop is a good friend of mine, Faith Jones.
I met Faith at our very first meeting of the Naperville Modern Quilters Guild. As we went around the room introducing ourselves she obviously knew what she was talking about and I soon realized that there are a lot of people who are listening to her. Faith blogs at freshlemonsquilts where she describes herself as a maker of quilty things.
She tends to sit with Svetlana at Guild meetings and they always seem to be having too much fun!
Faith always has show and tell, whether it’s the most recent publication that has included her work,
or a quilt in progress (this one seems to have been in progress for a while but it’s going to be worth waiting for!).
Faith is a whizz at all things tech. We met one morning and she tried to explain some social media stuff to me… I’m trying, I really am…
AND Faith is also one of the co-authors of a best-selling book!
I am so glad she agreed to preview my DVD. I hope she enjoyed it. You can read what she has to say about it today.

Bonnie sent me…I tried to leave a reply on the Tuesday blog, but I’m guessing it wouldn’t take my comment because it is full. So, I thought I would try here. I love my walking foot, and would love to learn more ways to use it…your video sounds great!
I’m not comfortable doing free motion quilting so it would be wonderful to get inspiration in quilting with my walking foot.
Congratulations on the release of your DVD
Would love to win your DVD!
Your blog hop is fantastic! I so need your dvd – right now!!! I decided at the last minute to make a quilt for my Aunt. I have always hand quilted my tops. Needless to say, I can’t hand quilt this in time for Christmas. I will be purchasing your dvd and practicing come January. No more of this last minute panic and trying to remember how to use my walking foot. Thanks for the chance to add your dvd to my library.
Looks like a great DVD!
One of my next goals is trying free motion quilting . Your DVD is awesome, it takes some of the fright away for me as I’m scared to try anything bigger than a mug rug. Thank you for sharing Catherine, Modern Machine Quilting is a must for me.
This really sounds interesting, it sounds like you have some good ideas on this DVD. Sounds like I’ll be asking for another Christmas present. cdahlgren at live dot com
I would love to win your DVD. It looks like a fabulous learning tool for some great quilting. Thanks!
I’ve been focused lately on FMQ, generally trying to gather the courage to make the leap and figure it out. So I’m very intrigued by the beauty you can create with a walking foot. Can’t wait to learn from you!
I have always run the other way when FMQ is in the mix! But it is one of the techniques that I have wanted to try and semi-master! Another chance to learn…thank you!
I hope to learn how to more creatively use my walking foot in quilting my projects. Thanks for putting this book together, and now I better get to hopping these blogs!
