On the fifth day of the blog hop…
We say hello to Svetlana Sotak of S.O.T.A.K handmade!
Svetlana came to our first meeting of the Naperville Modern Quilters Guild and has joined in the fun ever since.
We had a sew-in in the snow last year and Svetlana was one of the four brave souls to attend. She stitched away on her blocks and got lots done!
With three children at home she doesn’t waste a minute. How else would she get this wonderful Pinkie Pie quilt finished for her daughter?
Svetlana loves to make pillows…
They all have hidden zippers in the back…that’s quite a few steps up from my pillowcase finishes…
And of course she writes her much loved and widely read blog with followers from around the globe. Svetlana is a first generation immigrant like me and it’s always good to share opinions and insights into the wonderful ways of the Americans!! We are going to share a room at Sewtopia in the spring and I am looking forward to it.
She has already told me she enjoyed the DVD and has a project to share with you so check out her blog and come back here and post a comment.
Don’t forget, I am giving away a DVD to one lucky reader who posts a comment here on my blog by Christmas Day. Make sure you don’t miss a stop! Here’s the complete list so if you have missed any you can find them.

Oh I need to learn how to use my walking foot – this looks so good!
December 19 was my Birthday! I looked on Svetlana’s blog in the wee tiny hours of the morning and she had not yet posted about your lovely DVD. I did read about her little pencil cases. DH whisked me away for a wonderful day trip to an Amish community and let me wander through the fabric shop there. Oh yeah some fabric followed me home. So I just read Svetlana’s post this morning and was again inspired by your wonderful DVD. It would make a great Birthday Gift!!! I’m headed off to make a set of placemats and will wait until Monday to quilt them.
Hope you had a happy birthday. Mine’s coming up soon!
I’d love to learn more about what can be done with a walking foot besides simple straight lines.
I am always looking to learn new techniques and new ideas for finishing my pieces.
I would love to have this video and learn your techniques .. Thanks for making your knowledge available to everyone. 🙂
Would love some help with choosing quilting patterns etc. That stumps me. I have a couple of quilts that need quilting. Well, I guess they are not really quilts if they are not quilted…….
Svetlana has a lovely site too. And she highly endorses your new DVD. Neat blogspot shop hop!
