I have not been sitting around doing nothing today… after a late breakfast at Butterfield’s with Steve and Jonathan before the boy returned to Tennessee I got myself down the stairs to the sweatshop and had a jolly couple of hours putting together this happy little picture from Artfabrik.
It’s called Watering Can from the “My Backyard” series by Laura Wasilowski. The watering can isn’t really that bright turquoise. It’s quite bright but not as in your face as it is looking at it on my monitor… We are offering it as a Quilter and Child class at PHF in July. The grass is particularly fun as you cut the fused pieces on the bias and curve them as you go. There’s plenty of scope for individuality with this one…
