It’s just over a month until I’ll be flying South to Houston for International Quilt Festival 2015. To say I’m excited is a slight understatement… I’ll actually be on the faculty this year!

There is still room in my beginner’s wool appliqué class on Thursday afternoon. It’s always a fun time and I bring kits for everyone so it’s a really short supply list.
I have a ticket for Quiltapalooza on Thursday evening. I bought some pajamas today! (?)
On Friday morning I’ll be demoing some hand stitches in the morning at the Friday Sampler.
I’ll be moving on to English Paper Piecing for my clamshell pillow class on Friday afternoon. It’s sold out…
And just in case you thought I’d get the evening off I have another sold out class…
Saturday morning I’ll be in the classroom all day with my happy thoughts making Happy Scrappy Improv Quilts. There are still some seats left in the class… There should be time to look at some quilting ideas in the afternoon so if you didn’t get in to Friday evening’s class there will be an opportunity for questions.
There’s a Halloween Monster Ball at the Gala on the Green on Saturday evening. Yes, I have a ticket and I’ll have my face paints in Houston…
I’d better not stay up too late because to round off the fun I’m finishing up with a free motion class on Sunday morning! It’ll be a preview of all the techniques we taped for the DVD in Solon and last time I looked there were still a few seats left in this one too.
You can find project pictures on my class page if you’re interested. If you were wanting to get in to one of the classes that is sold out it is always worth checking the boards when you get to Festival and asking at the class sign up booth just in case someone isn’t able to make it on the day.
I’ll also be at the Award Ceremony on Tuesday evening and several lunch time events. I’m hoping to get on the show floor at the preview on Wednesday and maybe for a few hours on Sunday afternoon before I fly home.
I’ll have my new pins with me for trading… or just giving if you don’t have any yourself, so please stop me and say hello. I’m looking forward to seeing my old friends and coming home with lots of new ones! See you in a month?
