Flying to Southern California in January always makes sense…
Who wouldn’t want to leave the cold behind for some sun, and temperatures in the 70’s?
Here’s the view from Sheila’s yesterday morning.
Sandals on…
… ready for a day at the quilt show.
First off I had to go and see my quilt.
And yes it has a blue ribbon on it!!
The Long Winter won first in the Modern Use of Negative Space category 🙂 🙂
I got a ribbon too…
Then we did a little shopping. We enjoyed our usual California Pizza Kitchen boxed lunch (in the sunshine), shopped a little more, and looked at more quilts. Here is the Arts and Old Lace exhibit. Can you spot mine?
Just in case you need a reminder…
Mid afternoon we needed a break for ice-cream, outside again.
Then, a last look at the quilts and the vendors before entering the Californian Freeway system… I’m glad Sheila was driving.
A very good day! Staying home today, back to the show tomorrow evening to check out Leora’s African Folklore Embroidery class, collect my quilt on Sunday and then more adventures… a road trip to Vegas!
Congratulations on winning the ribbon!!!
Congratulations! A blue ribbon! That’s fantastic. Cheryl told us about it last night at guild. I always read your blog but I never leave a comment because there is so much to fill in to leave one but I just had to this time.
Many congrats!
Thanks Kathy.
