Thursday morning dawned bright and early, one hour earlier than it did in Naperville… It’s always a bit of a struggle when I change time zones but I set my alarm clock and I was ready to go right on time!
We had a full class with a couple of extras in Telco Village for our Folk Art Embroidery class. The ladies kept me occupied going from table to table as we learnt our stitches. They kept me so busy that I forgot to take pictures until the very end when I just manage to snap a couple before everyone packed up for the day.Hand work makes for a lovely sociable class. I didn’t let anyone sit by themselves. The table had been piled high with thread and other goodies at the beginning of the day. There wasn’t very much left by the end of the afternoon!I hope to see some wonderful stitcheries in my inbox…
Time for dinner? We headed over to the Yacht Club for a super meal with excellent desserts. It poured with rain while we were inside but all seemed clear over the lake as we left,
but not quite so good in the other direction…I was very glad Ann was driving as she avoided fallen tree limbs and one whole tree across the road, complete with downed electrical cables. Not good!
The power was out when we arrived home and stayed out while we sat in the screened porch by oil lamp light listening to the frogs. I went to bed by flashlight.
I was getting the total Southern Tennessee experience…
Had a wonderful time in class. Learned many new stitches.
