Well the big news today is… I’m going cruising again!
February 22nd through 28th THIS year, I’m joining the teachers on the Craftours School@Sea in the Caribbean. You know it’s going to be fun when you’re on a Royal Caribbean ship with Kaye England and Sue Bouchard and five other faculty members. (If my name’s not on the site when you look, just know it’ll be there very soon…)
So that’s why I have been stitching in secret the past week. I have designed a project specially for the trip. I looked at photos I took on the little boat in Cozumel and at the zoo for my nine inch block!
I’ll be having it printed on Kona cotton by Spoonflower in Caribbean blue and orange before kitting the panel with threads and instructions ready to open the packet and sew. Charms, buttons and beads will make everyone’s piece unique. There’s space in the borders to add the date and destination for a special souvenir. If desired it can be made into a pillow, wallhanging or bag…
If that all sounds like too much fun give Sew Many Places a call. There are just a few spots left. Average temperatures in Jamaica are in the low 80s this time of year!
I took Catherine’s class on a cruise in November and LOVED IT!!! I had not done embroidery since I was a school girl. Catherine made it so easy to catch on and the class was so much fun.
The wonderful students helped make it fun 🙂 I am glad you enjoyed the class.
