It’s been a busy week at home. I have lots to do. With four trips on the schedule for October, including Houston, I need to get organized…
So I made a quilt on Wednesday!
Remember the fabrics I bought at Crimson Tate a few weeks ago?I really wanted to make that little quilt!
And so I did. Heather Givan’s Mini Correspondence Quilt.Straightforward to construct and quilted with straight lines. Machine stitched binding.
I made a change to the pattern. I added a pocket to the International letter. It’s going to be useful to “put things in”?
Similar to the pattern, I stitched a postmark on the invitation.
I didn’t make a pieced back but I did add a hanging sleeve and a label. I’m going to donate my little quilt to the Riverwalk Quilters’ Mini Quilt Auction, coming up the third Tuesday in October. I think it would be great to hang over a desk or wherever you keep letters (bills?) that need replies.
If I’m not going to be keeping it I need lots of pictures?
Just one more!It could be yours for a small price?
Now back to all the other stuff that needs doing. I’m working my way through book edits, again. It’s back from design and it’s so cool but I need to take it page by page, looking out for errors and making comments…
What was it the Little Engine That Could said?
“I think can, I think I can… “
So good! I love the pocket. Good luck, little buddy, in the auction!!! 🙂
