We are keeping busy here in Houston but we have free wi-fi and the connection is good so here is my update!!
First stop is Cheryl‘s quilt in the Exquisite Moments exhibit. Note the t-shirt in keeping with the theme…
We dressed for Halloween yesterday. I hope there aren’t too many bad pictures of me around. Do you like my head gear?
I had 19 in my Make it University Wool Appliqué Needle Case class. It was difficult to cope with the head mike and the scissors…
but we managed to keep everyone smiling,
even if some had to take “urgent” phone calls…
Some great designs were stitched.
Well done everyone!!
This morning I spent two hours at Open Studios getting Wrapped in Scraps. A good crowd gathered to watch me stitch my bowls.
Some got close and personal to make sure they didn’t miss a thing!
Fun!
Time to see some quilts…
You never know who you are going to see. Kaffe Fassett was giving a guided tour of his latest quilts. (Steve used to have some red trousers)
The next celebrity sighting was Cheryl in the Cherrywood booth demonstrating her cartooning techniques.
And who can resist the always adorable Maggie Winfield?
Well that’s a good place to stop for now.
The adventures continue…
Awwwwww.. I miss being with you guys.. Guess I have to wait til Chicago.
Great update Catherine. I particularly enjoyed the Halloween headgear photo! Very good.
You look like a celeb teaching your classes never mind anyone else. Wow, they were very red pants worn by K.Fassett weren’t they? Artistic license perhaps?!! Thought for years he was a woman!!!
Enjoy yourselves and look forward to more photos.
Looks like you are having a great time
Yes we are!!
Tell Cheryl her biggest Canadian fan says hi!
Cheryl says “hi” back and looks forward to seeing you here in person one day!
Great pics!
