I have been absent for a little while. My thoughts have been elsewhere. My dad entered end of life care a few weeks ago and died early on Tuesday morning, peacefully at home with my brother and sister beside him. I did get to visit the weekend before and I am so glad I made the trip. I was able to say goodbye, even though I’m not sure he knew I was there.

So sorry to hear that Catherine. I lost my mother on Halloween and know what you are going through. Hope your dad didn’t suffer. So good you could see him close to the end. I saw my mom in June, she lived in Evanston, IL and hoped to get there at the end but not able to. Take care!!!

Catherine, So sorry to hear of Dad’s passing. Have always thought from your pictures he had the best smile. He showed his love for family in a very genuine way. Peace to you in this difficult time.
