And on to Auburn.

I enjoyed a lovely evening catching up with Julia before checking into the hotel that was to be home for my three nights in Auburn. I unpacked and set out my quilts to have a little rest before their next showing. They look so much better without creases!

Next day Becky picked me up for lunch. We paid a short visit to Stitch Therapy, the local quilt shop, where we took a dreadful picture that I am refusing to post here…

If I lived in town I would be hanging out with Debbie the store owner. She is the nicest lady!

Just time to sort myself out and to pack my bags before it was time for the next meal. There were fifteen of us for dinner at Niffer’s Place. Thursday night is burger night and they were all at a special price along with the famed Fish Bowl. I enjoyed an avocado burger but sadly had to forgo the Fish Bowl as I needed to be able to speak at the Guild meeting.

I had to have a picture of this suit of armor that kept us all company while we ate!

The meeting started promptly at 6.30 with a little business, moving on to Show and Tell which included all sorts, from a cute doll quilt,

We had a good time with Lessons Learned While Quilting. Every time is different. The seating arrangement made for a a really friendly atmosphere. I’m sure I disclosed far too many family secrets with no one more than one row back…

Somehow all the quilts ended up on the floor where they came in for some close examination at the end of the evening.

Love Auburn. Didn’t know they had a quilt shop there. Am going to visit it in May when I am back there. Have been to Niffers too. Looks like you had a good time.
