Americans by choice!

I said yesterday was going to be a big day. Did you guess why?

Yesterday, along with 51 other immigrants from all over the globe, Steve and I became citizens of the USA. The presiding judge talked a little about his family history and reminded us that we were all Americans by choice. I really like that idea.

There was a lot of waiting around. We tried taking a selfie while we waited… Hint, look at the screen, not at the button…

We didn’t take any friends or family with us so there were no pictures during the ceremony but we all  lined up to take pictures afterwards. The certificate details are blanked out because it makes sense.  🤔

We were all very happy!Next up, registering to vote and applying for a new passport.

How wonderful and definitely a reason to celebrate with your grandchildren with whom you share a citizenship now. My Scottish son in law got his citizenship when their son was born so he could be an American with him! It is such a special day as you said.

Sure hope you can teach virtually since Stitches is gone, I am so bummed I won’t be able to take your Hand Beading on Fabric class. I was really looking forward to it.
