Visit with NorthWest Suburban Quilting Friends and more

It’s been another busy week! Time for a quick catch up.

Last Monday was Leap Day (and James’s seventh real birthday). I drove up to Palatine to meet the lovely ladies of the Northwest Suburban Quilting Friends. I arrived in plenty of time to get set up and find a cup of coffee before the business meeting started at ten o’clock.

Business was followed by some lively show and tell.

From faces,

There was really quite a crowd by the time I took the microphone…IMG_5738I was booked for my Language of Flowers lecture and the ladies were a wonderful audience. There were flowers to celebrate a wedding two days before, the oldest member’s birthday and Muriel’s role as president…

Just like that we were done and it was time to get up close and personal with the quilts.IMG_5739

At least twenty members were booked to go out for lunch but I had to get home…

The rest of the week has been spent getting ready for a photo shoot.

Lots of hours spent at the sewing machine.IMG_5744I’m getting there… I can’t show you more right now but know I’ll be back to stitching in the morning…
