Judith’s Happy Scrappy Quilt

I got a message on my Facebook page yesterday from Judith. She had finished (as in quilted and bound!) her project from our class in Birmingham, Al last April.

She calls it Piano Jazz.
Don’t you love it?

Insertion strips, improv triangles, combined stitches in the walking foot quilting, so many details to enjoy. Thanks Judith for sending me the photograph.

I looked up some pictures from the archives.

This is how it startedand this is about where Judith was up to at the end of our day together.Good memories!

Happy Scrappy Improv Quilts is one of my fun workshop offerings over on my classes and lectures page. I’ll be teaching it in Santa Barbara in June this year, and of course you could be enjoying it too if you can arrange an invite to your neck of the woods. I’m booking into 2018 now. 2017 is about full. What do you think?

That class sure looks like fun. Sorry it wasn’t a go in Grand Forks last October. I was SO looking forward to it. Doesn’t mean I wound try on my own.
