Classes in Calgary

I was booked to teach two workshops for the Festival of Quilts in Heritage Park.

We had a great turn out for Walking Foot Quilting – Beyond the Ditch! on Thursday morning.

After completing the introductions everyone set to work getting organized to start stitching.IMG_7195There are only two seams to press in the whole class so it seems silly to get lots of irons out. Most people waited patiently to take their turn.IMG_7196It was full day of stitching fun!

Class started again on Friday morning for some Happy Scrappy Improv. It was a smaller group but everyone soon set to work. Some people were still thinking about the day before!

IMG_7208By the end of the afternoon there were some finished tops. Peggy made two…IMG_7232The bold units had come together very nicely,IMG_7234beautiful rich reds and golds with a fussy cut poppy,IMG_7224a whimsical cabin in the woods complete with the three bears,IMG_7241and a rainbow of color set with grey.IMG_7238I’m looking forward to being able to post some finished projects soon?

Two good days of classes… but wait there is more to come from Calgary…
