Quilt Festival and beyond…

I’ve been away! But now I’m home. I feel the need to catch up. However I’m thinking fifty pictures in one post might be overdoing things so I’m going to take a few days. Today I’ll just finish up my time in Houston.

I was in Open Studios twice on Friday…

First up was a repeat of Walking Foot Quilting.

You’ll have to take my word for it that I had a good sized crowd but here’s Robbi finishing up her demo.

Cheryl was also in Open Studios with her Fabulous Fabric Manipulations.

I finished up the afternoon with some African Folklore Embroidery.

Sheila flew in on Friday evening so we spent most of Saturday actually going around the Quilt Show! I had a third session of Walking Foot Quilting and then it was time to pack…

Sunday was Cruise Day. It was a steep learning curve, the transfer and embarkation process was an interesting experience and it was all new to me. But we managed and here I am, standing, a little hesitantly I must admit, on our stateroom balcony all ready to go. (Do you like my button necklace? That and two spools of thread were my only purchases at Festival…strange but true!)

Some great adventures, yet to be enjoyed, lay ahead… but more of that tomorrow!
