Published, in print and on line

I had a new message in my in-box today asking me “what fabric had I used in my yo-yo pillow?” I have made several yo-yo pillows so I had to send a reply asking where had the questioner seen the pillow?

She replied that she was looking at “the white one on the American Quilter website”… so I googled “yo-yo pillow American Quilter” and realized it was the pattern I wrote last year… it’s finally available on the AQ website. You don’t have to be a member of AQS to download the instructions so go ahead, and enjoy!

Here’s my pic of said pillow…

They were inspired by a vintage pillow I borrowed for my Yo-Yo Mama segment on Quilting Arts TV series 1300.

Meanwhile, I received my contributor’s copies of this year’s Quilting Arts holiday magazine the other week. You can find it wherever you normally buy your magazines or from the Interweave store if you prefer.

Here’s my project.

It’s a simple little needle case gift tag… They’re not just for the holidays. I think they’d make cute party favors. I made quite a few when I was writing the article!

BTW, just in case you’re wondering what the answer to the question was… I used a Free Spirit Designer Solid in Pearl. The embroidery was stitched with Coats and Clark Bold Hand Quilting Thread in Natural.
