Post Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a blur! Julia and Sarah made a most excellent job of cooking dinner and entertaining the guests. They had tidied the kitchen before everyone came, including all my stuff, so my camera was in exile somewhere…

You can take it from me the Alton Brown turkey was a joy to behold and the Bourbon Pecan Pie was wonderful…

Matt and Julia finished all the dishes after the children had gone to bed and just like that we were Post-Thanksgiving!

I was able to finish the binding on a couple of quilts while all the real work was being done. On Saturday we set up the photography studio.

You can see why there is a maximum width to my quilts?

First up on the wall was After April Showers which is my response to the Michael Miller Spring Cotton Couture/QuiltCon Challenge.

Before long Ruby realized something fun was going on and she needed to join in…

This one is Chosen 2. The second quilt in my non-reject series.

Even the background fabrics came off the very last bolts of unbought Kona cotton at the Pieceful Hearts closing down sale.

I have been feeling that my Spring in the City quilt needed something else so I did a little hand stitching.

Much better now I think?

Three quilts for one $30 entry fee at QuiltCon. Those are my three. We’ll have to wait and see what the jury says. They’ll travel with me anyway so they are not destined for the plastic boxes any time soon!

And because we can’t have a Thanksgiving without Benjamin here he is, still missing a tooth but handsome as ever.

Do you like the free motion panel on my Chosen 2 quilt? Words from the thesaurus on the theme!
