Chosen Four: Ever Onwards and Upwards

Kara is very observant! She noticed a second quilt on the bed in the last set of pictures…

It was/is my entry into the EZ Quilting Challenge for QuiltCon, Chosen Four: Ever Onwards and Upwards

Here’s my description…

This is quilt is entirely constructed from left over pieces from previous projects. It’s number four in my Chosen series, choosing to use pieces that were rejected in the past.

I used the EZ Quilting 45˚ Angle triangle to cut my floating shapes and set them on black wool felt before stitching them to the completed background.

I left the triangle edges unfinished and the irregular quilt outline intact. Not everything in life needs to be perfect before we can move on!

I neglected to say that several previous attempts landed in the scrap pile when I had problems piecing the triangles together…

Here’s the close up,

I emptied a lot of half filled bobbins during the quilting…

It’s 31″ x 24″, so not very big.

I filled in my QuiltCon entry with 16 hours to spare. Rejection e-mails come before the end of December!
