Book signing at Gentler Times Stitching, Naperville

I know I’ve been keeping my head down and staying home the last couple of weeks and I will have a lot to show for it soon… I feel like I have been neglecting some things (including all social media and blogging) but I’m hoping that the end result will be worth it? The days of keeping lots of balls in  the air and not dropping any seem well past. I need to hold on firmly to the matter in hand and focus on one thing at a time.

So, that being said, I did get to venture out to my most local quilt store, Gentler Times Stitching for a book signing last Saturday.

Steve came with me and helped me get everything in and set up in plenty of time.I had quilts to show, my machine set up for a demo, and books!!Did you notice the treats in the background, kindly provided by Brenda for our guests?

Some people arrived early and got a preview of the book’s contents (whether they wanted one or not?).The appointed hour arrived and we had a room full ready to begin!

After a short chat I decided to stitch…I’m always comfortable behind my BERNINA sewing machine.

Samples got passed around for a closer examination. It’s all in the book…

Time to look at some quilts? And sell some books!!

I need to concentrate when I’m signing them…
Make sure you spell names correctly?I need more practice. Thanks for coming everyone.

And look who showed up to take me away!James and Sarah had come to town specially. Why aren’t there any pictures with Sarah in them? That’s a very good question! She was behind the camera of course.

Now, you might be wondering what book I was signing? Well thank you for asking!

In case you have missed my excitement… I wrote a book and it’s been published and is now available for purchase.

Modern Machine Quilting by me! You can buy it wherever you usually get your quilting books. Ask your local independent quilt store to order it for you, find it at the Fons and Porter store, or it’s on Amazon where you can use the “look inside” feature for a sneak preview… I also found it at Target! (on-line only)

Meanwhile, know that I’ve been stitching up a storm and regular blog posts should resume soon 🙂
