Another week gone.

We started off the week with a visit to Rockford… Benjamin decided we needed to go to the park.

While he was busy teaching his grandpa the finer points of baseball Ruby set off to scale new heights.

DSC03946Finished with baseball coaching, Benjamin went for a swing, watched by his dad.

Tuesday was my last guild meeting as president at Riverwalk Quilters Guild. After a short business meeting members got to work making pillowcases for donation to our favorite causes. A clothes line was hung ready to display them as they were completed.

DSC03994 By the end of the evening we had a big bag full.

DSC03995 Philanthropy sew-in night is one of my favorites. It’s a super social time for everyone!

I finished sewing on the binding and added a hanging sleeve to the Naperville MQG banner on Wednesday. I’m not sure how to take a better picture but at least this one gives an idea of the finished quilt…

On Thursday afternoon I finished two felted wool purses with linings, handles and magnetic snaps.

DSC04011 DSC04012I am pleased with the way they turned out. I don’t use a pattern so every one is an original. The shape completely changes after felting, not always in a good way. Sometimes I think I should make notes, especially if I have made one I really like, but I never do… so there won’t ever be a duplicate!

I think I am winning with my to do list but it might be that I am just forgetting something. I mailed my two entries for the NQA show on Friday. This morning I worked on my outgoing president’s report for our joint RWQG board meeting on Tuesday. I guess I could move on to spending a few minutes doing laundry or even tidying the house?
