Another week, another quilt

After all the excitement of getting my quilts finished in time to be photographed for QuiltCon might I be allowed to have a rest for a few days?

Of course not. I have a couple of challenges I want to meet! I have been working on them this week. I stitched the binding down on one this afternoon, while watching a Lifetime movie I had recorded. (The Christmas ones are the best!!)

This is Winter Sky 2, inspired by the bare branches against our beautiful blue winter morning skies.

The inserts are a quarter of an inch wide. The quilt is made from nine near identical blocks,  rotated before being sewn together.

If it looks familiar, I made a larger version back in March that hung at the Fiber Diva Show. This one is 18″ square ready for our PAQA Midwest exhibit we are planning.

I have around 200 half square triangles made for the other quilt currently under construction… more soon!
